Back to the wallRules
How the wall works
- One wall. It never gets bigger.
- You pick a size and a spot. Poster and Large can go anywhere open; the one Billboard owns the centre. Your poster goes up there and links to your site.
- Poster $1, Large $2, Billboard $25.
- Every click your poster sends is counted and shown publicly.
- Anyone can paste straight over your poster by paying 1.5× what you paid, rounded up to the nearest 50¢.
- Pasting over takes the whole poster. Nobody can cover half of yours and leave the rest.
- Once the wall is full, the only way on is to paste over somebody.
Your artwork
- There is nothing to upload. Your poster is printed from the one link you give us.
- Give a website and we take its largest icon as the logo, its theme colour as the background, and its description as the strapline.
- Give an @handle — or paste your profile URL — and the poster links to your X profile and uses your profile picture.
- No theme colour? A colour is picked from a fixed palette by hashing your link, so your poster is always the same and the wall stays varied.
- Artwork is read once, when your poster goes up. Changing your site later will not change the poster.
Getting pasted over
- Your poster stays up until somebody pays more. There is no time limit and no expiry.
- Being pasted over is not grounds for a refund — however long it was up for. That is the whole game.
- Covered posters keep their place in the list below the wall, with their link and their click count intact. Being covered is not being deleted.
Payment
- Card payment through Stripe. We never see your card details.
- If somebody takes the spot while you are still in checkout, your payment is refunded automatically. You are never charged for a spot you did not get.
What you can put up
- Product sites and personal sites.
- No link shorteners, no chat or group invite links, no sexually explicit content, no malware, and nothing illegal.
- Tracking parameters are stripped from links.
- Anything breaking these rules comes down without a refund, and the spot goes back to bare wall.
